Competitions

Local, Regional, National, International

In today’s sociality, successful companies and businesses need entrepreneurial managers and employees who are resourceful leaders, independent thinkers, problem-solvers, and team players. To this end, the Next Wave Entrepreneurship Academy (NWEA) decided to run this one-week intensive course and competition focuses on hands-on, real-world application of entrepreneurial skills and tools.

The course rewards students by providing them with insights regarding how and when to use such business tools. The course focuses on principles, concepts, skills, practices, information, and choices relevant for start-up and early-stage entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial managers, and their stakeholders. The competition includes real-world case studies, guest speakers, and visits to local start-up firms. Earn college credit and compete for $5000 in cash prizes.

The purpose of the competition is to create opportunities to inspire entrepreneurial spirit, build confidence and develop leadership skills for participants. Students learn how to translate interests and dreams into enterprise through action-based planning, goal-setting, budgeting, deadlines and instant feedback while building sustainable businesses under the guidance of successful entrepreneurs and business faculty. Their crucial, step-by-step advice helps students implement their business ideas.

With COVID-19 we have rearranged our competition schedule.  Please contact us for the most up-to-date information and to connect with a personalized mentor.
